Ultrahuman’s rings have screened for atrial fibrillation in the background at night — Ring Air since July 2024, Ring Pro since its February launch. The new Heart Scan feature flips that around: an on-demand check you start yourself, whenever you want.
How it works
- Powered by FibriCheck; runs inside the Ultrahuman app
- Each scan takes 60 seconds — stay still while the ring reads your pulse
- Results: Regular, Possibly irregular, Possible atrial fibrillation, Signal quality too low, or Inconclusive
- Generates a FibriCheck PDF report with the pulse recording, tachogram, and Lorenz plot of beat intervals
- Caveats from Ultrahuman: it doesn’t detect heart attacks or ischemic conditions, and a regular result doesn’t rule out a rhythm condition
Availability and price
- Requires app version 4.3.0 (iOS) / 3.2.0.0 (Android)
- Live in the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific; eligible users get free scans from the dashboard
- The background AFib PowerPlug: £4.90/month or £49/year (UK); €5.90/month or €49/year (Eurozone)
