Garmin has officially announced the Enduro 4, its ultra-endurance smartwatch, alongside the Approach S72 golf watch. The Enduro 4 is priced at $899.99 with sales starting October 9.
Externally almost nothing changed: the 51mm case, 1.4-inch solar MIP display, titanium bezel, Power Sapphire lens, 10 ATM water resistance and LED flashlight all carry over. Battery figures are identical too — 36 days of smartwatch use, or 90 days with solar, and up to 120 hours of GPS tracking, or 320 hours with solar in ideal conditions.
The upgrades live under the skin and in the software. Storage doubles to 64GB for maps and music, RAM jumps 50% for roughly 30% faster map panning, and the map engine gains a perspective view for judging terrain ahead. New training tools include grade-adjusted pace workouts, rolling pace, stamina zones and stamina curves, plus dedicated rucking workouts with on-the-fly pack-weight adjustment and more than 100 sport profiles. A new Garmin Epic feature stitches multi-day activities into one shareable story in Garmin Connect. The old UltraFit band is swapped for a ComfortFit fabric strap, nudging weight to 66 grams.
Alongside it comes the Approach S72, Garmin’s new flagship golf watch at $799.99 (also on sale October 9). It comes in 43mm and 47mm sizes with a bright AMOLED display, titanium bezel and sapphire lens. Storage quadruples to 64GB, and new tools include swing metrics (hand speed, backswing length, wrist rotation), golf biometrics, green contour reading, putting analytics and aerial hole imagery — though some of those need an active Garmin Golf membership. It also adds an LED flashlight, ECG and continuous blood-oxygen monitoring, with 20 hours of GPS golf time or 16 days of smartwatch battery.
