Samsung’s One UI 9 rollout has reached its 2024 flagships. The stable Android 17 update is now landing on the Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Z Flip6 — starting in South Korea, with wider regions to follow in the coming days and weeks.
Rollout details
- Korea first, as usual; firmware S92xNKSUGEZIF with the September 5, 2026 security patch
- Download size: ~500MB from the One UI 9 beta (~408MB on foldables); ~3.8GB straight from One UI 8.5 (~3.5GB on foldables)
- Third wave overall: S26 series first (mid-September), then S25/Fold7/Flip7, now the 2024 lineup
- One UI 9 debuted on the Z Fold8 series in July — about three months to reach these phones
What’s new
The same One UI 9 package as newer Galaxies: expanded Galaxy AI (Now Nudge, My FanCam, Call Brief, customizable Now Brief cards), a more customizable Quick Panel, privacy and security upgrades, and Samsung Health improvements. Check manually via Settings → Software update.
