Galaxy F70 Is Coming — and It Might Just Be a Galaxy A17 in Disguise

Samsung is expanding the Galaxy F family with a third model, and the “vanilla” Galaxy F70 has now surfaced in the Google Play Console’s supported devices list carrying model number SM-E176E.

The model number points at a familiar formula: this is shaping up to be another rebrand of an A-series phone. The SM-E176E designation links the F70 to the Galaxy A17, which launched in August — echoing how the Galaxy F70e turned out to be a rebadged Galaxy A07. So far Samsung hasn’t confirmed any of this officially.

If the rebrand theory holds, the F70’s spec sheet is already an open book: a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display at 1080×2340 with a 90Hz refresh rate, Samsung’s Exynos 1330 chipset, 4/6/8GB of RAM with 128/256GB of storage, a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization backed by a 5MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro, a 13MP front camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging.

Context matters here. The F70e arrived in February and the F70 Pro followed in August, so a plain F70 would fill the obvious middle slot. Expect an India-first launch, consistent with how the F series usually rolls out.
